Meindl Comfort Fit

Meindl’s Comfort fit range – wider fit boots and shoes

The Meindl family has been making footwear since 1683, so each Meindl boot combines innovative technology and materials, with skills that have been passed down through the generations.

Their centuries of experience have been ploughed into refining the science of comfort. If you have a wider foot, the Comfort fit range could make all the difference to your walks. The boots and shoes in Meindl’s Comfort fit range are typically wider, more generous and more supportive than a standard trekking fit. They are suited to walkers with wider feet who have struggled to find boots to fit them comfortably.

Here’s what makes them so different

  • More Space

The Comfort fit offers more space at the front of the foot, with no tapering, and a firm grip on the heel. The extra width gives more room for your toes, especially across the flexpoint of the boot or shoe.

  • More Support

The cork footbed found in the Comfort Fit boots is wider and more supportive than a standard footbed, because it gives you more surface area to stand on. It has a poron shock absorber, which reduces the impact of each footstep. A fleece covering and integrated cushioning pad for the metatarsal heads ensure even greater comfort.

  • Rolling Movement

The more defined contour of the Comfort fit range soles gives an easier rolling motion to your stride.

  • Two-Zone Lacing

Meindl’s hill walking boots are designed with two-zone lacing. Going uphill, you can lace the lower zone tightly and the upper zone more loosely for increased freedom of movement. Going downhill, lace the upper zone tighter, to prevent the foot sliding forwards.
