The Activo GTX mens walking shoe is sporty, casual, and perfect for those in search of a wider fit.
As part of Meindl’s Comfort-Fit range the Activo GTX is an exceedingly comfortable wear. It boasts a wider sole with more room for movement at the front of the shoe, whilst maintaining a firm hold of the heel at the back to ensure a non-slip fit. Meanwhile, a two-zone lace system further secures your foot in place and is easily adjusted to your preference. Thanks to a GORE-TEX lining and Air-Active footbed the Activo GTX is well ventilated and durable in wet weather conditions.
Equipped with a Meindl Lite Trail rubber grip sole, the Activo GTX provides a strong grip and security when the path is a little unsteady. If searching for a walking shoe that will carry you with ease across hiking trails to city scapes, the Activo GTX ticks all the boxes.

Meindl is generally a wide-fitting brand, with our Comfort Fit range offering even more space for those who need it.
However, achieving the right fit is not just about length. The shape, width and overall volume of the boot must match your foot. The widest part of your foot should align with the widest part of the boot. If you feel the boot tapers too quickly at the front, you may benefit from a style with a rounder, more generous toe box.
A well-fitting boot should feel secure around the heel and midfoot, with enough room at the front for your toes to move freely without touching the end—particularly when walking downhill.
It’s also important to avoid excess volume in the upper. Too much space can lead to movement within the boot, causing creasing, reduced support, and discomfort over time.
For best results, try boots on with your usual walking socks and ensure they feel comfortable both standing and moving, as fit can change during use.

Care Advice
Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
