Product Description
The Bhutan MFS is a classic walking boot and has earned its spot as one of our best sellers for over 10 years. As a refined version of the popular Meindl Burma boot, the Bhutan MFS is crafted to be supportive, highly durable and suitable for use all year round. Made from top quality Nubuck leather, this boot provides protection and stability on all types of terrain, enabling a pleasant walking experience. This walking boot is equipped with state of the art technical features including; a GORE-TEX lining for waterproof protection, a Digafix lacing system to adjust for the perfect hold, an Air-Active footbed to rid of unwanted moisture, and a Memory Foam System (MFS) around the ankle to provide a compression zone for maximum comfort. The Bhutan MFS is complete with a self-cleaning Vibram double density sole unit, allowing mud to fall from the lugs with each step thus giving excellent shock absorption and traction. Categorised ‘B’, this walking boot is ideal for everyday use to demanding hikes in low-level mountains
Meindl Fitting Advice
Meindl is generally a wide-fitting brand, with our Comfort Fit range offering even more space for those who need it.
However, achieving the right fit is not just about length. The shape, width and overall volume of the boot must match your foot. The widest part of your foot should align with the widest part of the boot. If you feel the boot tapers too quickly at the front, you may benefit from a style with a rounder, more generous toe box.
A well-fitting boot should feel secure around the heel and midfoot, with enough room at the front for your toes to move freely without touching the end—particularly when walking downhill.
It’s also important to avoid excess volume in the upper. Too much space can lead to movement within the boot, causing creasing, reduced support, and discomfort over time.
For best results, try boots on with your usual walking socks and ensure they feel comfortable both standing and moving, as fit can change during use.

Reviews
Very comfortable straight out of the box (good old Meindl MFS!) with the best fit for my broadish foot of all the five alternatives I tried (including Meindl Vakuums) and the lowest price I could get anywhere. Great traditional mountain & hill 3 season boot! May be heavier than some but lovely rolling walk action, aggressive, grippy sole means I did not notice. Although I am yet to try them on a proper walk (in the Lakes or Snowdonia), they are as comfy and feel even more supportive than my 10 year old (& only now falling apart) Burma Pros. Can’t wait to try them properly and looking forward to the next 10 years!

Care Advice
Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
