Product Description
The Lugano Mens wide fit walking shoe by Meindl is a high quality shoe perfect for both city and country terrain. Constructed from waxed Nubuck leather it is both durable and comfortable with a smart look. Leather also lines the inside, providing breathability and a soft touch to the foot.
As part of Meindl’s Comfort-Fit range, the footbed of the Lugano gives more room at the front of the shoe whilst maintaining a snug fit at the heel, thus allowing for more movement for your toes and around the flex point. Made from cork with a fleece covering this footbed is supportive, undeniably comfortable and keeps the shoe well climatised; ideal for all day wear.
The Meindl Lugano is complete with a Meindl Comfort Hiker sole. This provides excellent traction across all terrains and ensures the walking shoe can be used in any scenario, from the office to paths off the beaten track.
Meindl Fitting Advice
Meindl is generally a wide-fitting brand, with our Comfort Fit range offering even more space for those who need it.
However, achieving the right fit is not just about length. The shape, width and overall volume of the boot must match your foot. The widest part of your foot should align with the widest part of the boot. If you feel the boot tapers too quickly at the front, you may benefit from a style with a rounder, more generous toe box.
A well-fitting boot should feel secure around the heel and midfoot, with enough room at the front for your toes to move freely without touching the end—particularly when walking downhill.
It’s also important to avoid excess volume in the upper. Too much space can lead to movement within the boot, causing creasing, reduced support, and discomfort over time.
For best results, try boots on with your usual walking socks and ensure they feel comfortable both standing and moving, as fit can change during use.

5 Stars: Good for wide feet
Love Meindl. They’re particularly good for wide feet, and these are nice, solid day-to-day shoes. Very comfortable and tough.

Care Advice
Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion
