Product Description
The Stavanger MFS GTX field sports boot has a waxed leather upper along with a sole that is incredibly robust which combines to make a very durable boot. Extreme terrains can be tackled with confidence thanks to Meindl's Multi-Grip Rock sole - the outside of the sole features abrasion-resistant, sharp-edged rubber with integrated moveable blades, whilst the inner section of the sole features a unique compound of soft rubber and felt. The sole profile across the arch is designed to provide further stability, you're sure to be confident in Stavanger’s performance even on the most challenging days in the field. Hand-crafted in waxed nubuck, the boots have a high, protective rubber rand all the way around and the added benefit of Meindl’s legendary Memory Foam System, MFS, which molds to your foot to provide a customised fit. An Air-Active footbed and a GORE-TEX lining create a breathable, dry, and comfortable foot climate.

Meindl is generally a wide-fitting brand, with our Comfort Fit range offering even more space for those who need it.
However, achieving the right fit is not just about length. The shape, width and overall volume of the boot must match your foot. The widest part of your foot should align with the widest part of the boot. If you feel the boot tapers too quickly at the front, you may benefit from a style with a rounder, more generous toe box.
A well-fitting boot should feel secure around the heel and midfoot, with enough room at the front for your toes to move freely without touching the end—particularly when walking downhill.
It’s also important to avoid excess volume in the upper. Too much space can lead to movement within the boot, causing creasing, reduced support, and discomfort over time.
For best results, try boots on with your usual walking socks and ensure they feel comfortable both standing and moving, as fit can change during use.

Care Advice
Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
