Product Description
The Meindl Caribe GTX is a lightweight walking shoe designed for all of your walking adventures, from off-road trails and sports activities to everyday wear.
Constructed from velour and mesh uppers with a GORE-TEX lining, this shoe is hard-wearing, protective in wet weather conditions, and is an undoubtedly reliable walking partner.
The shoe stays well ventilated thanks to the Air-Active footbed which ensures a constant flow of fresh air whilst wicking away unwanted moisture.
The Meindl Trail Activity Sport sole completes the Caribe GTX, offering excellent traction on a wide variety of terrains, providing the wearer with the utmost comfort when walking.
Meindl Fitting Advice
Meindl is generally a wide-fitting brand, with our Comfort Fit range offering even more space for those who need it.
However, achieving the right fit is not just about length. The shape, width and overall volume of the boot must match your foot. The widest part of your foot should align with the widest part of the boot. If you feel the boot tapers too quickly at the front, you may benefit from a style with a rounder, more generous toe box.
A well-fitting boot should feel secure around the heel and midfoot, with enough room at the front for your toes to move freely without touching the end—particularly when walking downhill.
It’s also important to avoid excess volume in the upper. Too much space can lead to movement within the boot, causing creasing, reduced support, and discomfort over time.
For best results, try boots on with your usual walking socks and ensure they feel comfortable both standing and moving, as fit can change during use.

Care Advice
Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The shoes can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
