Reviews
5 Stars: Bought a pair in 2007 very comfortable immediately, worn on trek towards K2 for 2 weeks in 100+f were warm but not too hot, same applies to trek in Tajikistan Fann Mountains, also on trek across glaciers in Spitsbergen with clip-on crampons, never a blister. A little heavy and stiff for day to day dog walking in UK but excellent in winter and heavy duty trekking. RICK from United Kingdom (2010) The Himalaya MFS from Meindl is a robust and highly specified walking boot. Not officially ‘badged’ as fully crampon compatible, I would be happy to wear them with flexible crampons for short periods. The overall quality of finish is very high right down to the very solid bumper that looks like it will protect the boot from all but the most extreme of conditions. As such, the Himalayas are an excellent investment for all-year round mountain walking in the UK.

Care Advice
Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
