Product Description

The Nebraska Mid GTX walking boot is a lightweight mid-cut shoe offering great comfort and good ankle support. Thanks to the high-quality Nubuck leather and suede uppers, the Nebraska Mid GTX is hard-wearing and resistant with a classic style. The accompanying GORE-TEX lining offers excellent protection in wet conditions, whilst the Air-Active footbed keeps the foot dry and sustains a healthy environment within the shoe. The Meindl Magic Light Trail sole ensures superb traction on a variety of terrains, making the Nebraska Mid GTX most ideal for medium mountain ranges, trails and easier terrains.

5 Stars: Light comfortable waterproof boots
This Saturday I did The Yorkshire 3 peaks which is a 40 km hill walk over rocky terrain with a little scrambling and 1500m ascent. These boots were very good because they are comfortable and light and so require less effort to walk quickly over long distances. There was heavy rain, and they remained water proof when I walked through many large deep muddy puddles. I completed the walk in 11 hours and did not get any blisters. The grip is ok and I did not slip when scrambling over rocks, even though water was pouring down the rocks. To break the boots in I only did a few short walks.

5 Stars: Meindl Boots
Very comfortable boots indeed but need an extra insole. The sole grips very well but is too soft, the sole wears out quickly.

Care Advice

Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion.
